B&E had a very successful second year at the Cannes Film Market, with five films (at various stages of production) with five different sales
companies.

Our debut feature, ‘Shadowguard’, is being sold by Shoreline Entertainment, while The Weinstein Company is handling worldwide sales on
the 3D animation ‘Little Gobie’. Arclight are selling our sports action comedy ‘Beach Spike!’, and B&E also have the martial arts thriller ‘Red
Dawn Rising’ in development at Fortissimo.

B&E also closed a deal with Ko Mori’s Eleven Arts to handle international sales on our sexy swordplay actioner ‘Snowblade’, and we were delighted to close pre-sales on this title during Cannes.

Company founder Bey Logan was also at the festival to support long-time friend Donnie Yen on the release of his latest period epic ‘Wu Xia’, and to meet other industry cohorts including Tsui Hark, Nansun Shi and Johnnie To.

Production is now underway on Snowblade, a sexy period martial arts actioner set for delivery at the end of the year.

The English-language film about a swordswoman must kill seven foes before the full moon is the directorial debut of Bey Logan. Logan is a martial arts expert who has relevant producing and writing credits with Ballistic Kiss (殺殺人、跳跳舞, 1998), The Medallion (飛龍再生, 2003) and Gen-Y Cops (特警新人類2) and was responsible for scouting Asian acquisitions for Miramax and The Weinstein Company.

Filming, with award-winning cinematographer Rain Li (李晓雨), is underway at the Ace Studios in Nanhai, China and will continue till early summer. The film stars Sable Yu (俞融蓉) as a lady assassin wandering the Tang dynasty badlands who, as a teenager, had sold her soul to gain mastery of a sword and avenge her parents’ murder. It also stars Sabrina Davi, Lawrence Chou (周俊偉) and Calvin Logan.
